We are looking for interns who love books, technology and being part of a groundbreaking, disruptive and fun company.
The main areas of the business you'll focus on will be marketing, social media, and community management.
What you'll do
As an intern, you'll be part of a rapidly growing start-up on the cutting of edge of the book industry. You'll learn not just about how the book industry works from the inside out, but you'll also get exposure to emerging trends in the publishing industry and direct contact with authors, agents, publishers. You will be given real responsibilities that allow you to explore what it would be like to work in the book industry and at a Silicon Alley start-up. Everyday while working out of our cool Union Square loft offices, you'll have the chance to learn something new about the book industry, how we develop and market new products, make new contacts and friends, and most importantly, have a lot of fun.
- Book industry experience a plus but not required
- Strong networking skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent follow-up skills and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and use strong decision-making skills
- Must have results-oriented mindset
Internship positions are based in Union Square in New York City. Stipends are available for full-time commitment. These positions are for two-month periods (or semester-long if still in school), at which point a full-time paid position may be offered. School credit can be arranged.
